Cheri & Cole's Engagement Session

Well as I said a few days ago . . Bryan has been shooting so many cool Engagement Sessions. The next up was Cheri & Cole's.  As you can see Bryan found a great mix of gorgeous and funky . .hey how can you not love the Dinosaur and Shark pics? However, I think my favorite has to be the one where Cheri is up in the window box with Cole sitting below her .. just gorgeous.

Enjoy and Cheri & Cole we can't wait to shoot your wedding in september!

Our Hawaii Trip

Well as I type this . . Bryan, Zoe and I are in the lovely state of Michigan to visit family and to shoot a wedding (we did that yesterday . . and will be blogging that later).  So it's only appropriate that while we are on a mini-vacation, we blog about our last big vacation to Maui.  What a awesome time we had . . I  cannot believe that two weeks can go by so quickly.  Bryan at first was like two weeks . .and a week in, he finally got why you take two weeks off . .ha.  It takes a week just to get into vacation mode and relax.

As you can see we had many a fun photo session with the lovely little miss Zoe.  She loved feeding that adorable little baby pig cheerios . . loved her trip to Baby Beach playing with the sand and well doesn't the photo of her in the bamboo as our "little hula girl" just look like a postcard?   Later on in the trip, we made it down to the south part of the island and found Dr. Leisure's funky camper truck covered with cool stuff.

At the very end of the trip, my brother Matthew and his wife Kathy joined us and we got to do a mini photo shoot with them . . I love the one of Kathy looking over Matthew's shoulder . . just gorgeous.  On our last full day here, we went snorkeling and then took a treacherous trip for what was suppose to be amazing Julia's banana bread.  It was good, but not sure it was worth the 6 miles of one lane wide driving next to huge drop off's . . .  I only have one last thing to write . .when do we get to go back?

:) Melody

Erica & Ron's Wedding . . a wedding at Sodo Park

On a so-so weather day, Bryan and I headed out to shoot Erica & Ron's wedding at Sodo Park (a wonderful wonderful new venue . . .).  We started out the day at the W Hotel where Erica was getting ready and even though we technically couldn't shoot anywhere other than in the hotel room (yes the W hotel is very restrictive on shooting if you are not getting married there) .. .didn't Bryan get a killer dress shot????  It was then onto some funky locations for the portrait shoot and the weather held for us - yeah! Erica and Ron are such a sweet couple and we had so much fun photographing them and their wedding party.

It was then it was onto the venue which was so pretty with the orange and lime green colors Erica had chosen for her wedding.  I simply loved all the details we were able to photograph including the very awesome cocktail tree.  For the ceremony as you can see . . Erica's cute little niece decided to act like a 2 year old that day and didn't like the idea of walking down the aisle, so her mom tried to walk with her and well that wasn't very successful, but makes for a memorable photo . .ha.

I loved that Ron's friends brought "Kindred Steve" to the wedding . .that would be the photo of the lion towards the end of the post that followed Ron and his friends through their travels all over the world and had to make it's rightful place at his wedding as well.  Lastly, is the last photo we posted not gorgeous . . I LOVE how Bryan processed it!

Until next time . .enjoy!

Jeff & Sarah's Wedding - Wedding Photos with more Cowbell

Well how do I even being to talk about Jeff & Sarah's wedding? What a fun fun day we had with them.  As you can already tell from the subject title . . any wedding with a cowbell is bound to be fun.  On a beautiful sunny day, we started out the day at the beautiful Hotel Andra with both Jeff & Sarah getting ready only a few rooms apart from one another.  Sarah had the lovely Kate Crotty do her makeup and isn't it gorgeous? As you can tell Jeff was very stylish groom, from his Dolce & Gabbana Suit to his gaming cufflinks - link from Legend of Zelda . .get it cuff link ha (hey he is the liason to the Xbox for Microsoft - so very appropriate) and very cool shoes.  After doing the first look in the lobby, we were able to get some time along with Jeff and Sarah for portraits and aren't all the photos in the alley with Jeff solo, Sarah looking at us with Jeff turned away and them kissing with flare just stunning . .those have to be some of my many favorites!

Afterwards we headed back to Hotel Andra to do photos with the wedding party and then went around town with them before heading to Pravda Studios for the ceremony and reception.  I LOVE the photo in front of the red parking garage . .I have to thank the limo driver for backing in - very impressive and the photo of Jeff and Sarah looking up against the Graffiti wall just rocks.  Before we got to Pravda, we had to first go to the wonderful Bleu Bistro on Capitol Hill - the location of Jeff & Sarah's first date.  There were so accomodating and we were able to get fun shots in there.  The shot where Jeff is on the little horse rocker was completely spontaneous and isn't it hysterical . .as you can tell they are up for anything and it's so much fun to photograph them and their wedding party.

Then it was onto Pravda Studios for a traditional Jewish Wedding with the very nice Rabbi David Fine, they had the Ketubah Signing first and then the ceremony.  The ceremony was so touching and it almost had me crying . .ha.  In between the ceremony and reception, their was a nice cocktail hour and we snuck them away for a few more shots and isn't the photo with Jeff in the background . .with a beer can and with Sarah in the foreground too cool?  The reception was so much fun from the emotional toast of the best man Brian who could not stop from crying, to them having one couple who is notoriously picky getting Dick's burgers and fries delivered to them, it went so fast.  Things really kicked off with the very cool band - the Popoffs - a very talented trio who plays such a variety of music from the Beatles to the song My Sharona and when I was really impressed . .was when they sang Bohemian Raphsody by Queen - anyone that can pull that off is amazing in my book.

Towards the end of the night, Jeff and Sarah got put up in chairs for the classic Hava Nagila and Bryan thinks it's a tie between Jewish and Greek weddings as to which is more fun . .ha.  Lastly, Jeff had to sit in for a song and play drums with the band and how cool is that? Afterwards they gave him a cowbell and he did cowbell for not one but two songs . . .at one point he tried to hand it off to Sarah, but she wouldn't take it.  What a great end to a great night!  We can't wait for your post shoot!  And Jeff I hope you feel better . . Jeff broke his foot while on his honeymoon!

Lastly a special thanks to the lovely Stacey Jehlik who was the wedding coordinator for the day and she did an amazing job!
