Karen & Scott's Engagement Session

Well we are typing this blog from Sunriver, Oregon . .yeah we are on vacation, but our work is never done.  A few weeks ago, Bryan went up to Seattle to photograph Karen & Scott's engagement session.  I love the photo 4th down with Scott holding Karen . .just too pretty.  And isn't the vintage Edsel they found a cool prop for the shoot?  Can't wait to shoot their wedding in September!

Expect more blogging this week as we are on vacation and have already gotten some adorable photos of Zoe . .ha!  I will tell you though . .didn't expect it to be pushing a 100 degrees down here, that's just too hot for me!

Theresa & Ricky's Engagement Session

Well can I just say that there is too much to blog and not enough time in a day . .ha.  We have been so busy and we are just getting into our crazy busy season.  We will be launching a Zoe Blog in a few days and blogging the link here when we do it as I would love to blog Zoe all the time . .but we have too much work stuff!

Now on to Theresa & Ricky's engagement session.  I like so many of the photos . .it's hard for me to pick a favorite.  Isn't the photo of the light going across Theresa's face while Ricky kisses her just gorgeous? And I love the close up warm photo just below it.  With their wedding here coming up in a few weeks, we are getting excited to shoot it . .but even more than that, we are thrilled we get to shoot their reception in HONG KONG!  Yes I said Hong Kong . .how cool will that be . . we just have to be patient and wait until New Year's to do that.

Enjoy!

Andrea & Nick's Wedding

Well we started an unusually hot May day up in Woodinville to photograph Andrea and her girls getting ready at the beautiful Gretchen Scott Salon.  If you will remember, Bryan did their ultra cool engagement session in April.  Isn't the first photo awesome  and I love the funny photo we took of her in her bride tank.  I have to say that in no way did I expect it to be pushing 90 degrees in the middle of May . .whew!   After we were done with the salon, we headed to Craven Farm for the wedding and reception.  What a cool cool venue for anytime of year.  I already want to plan on coming back for their pumpkin patch and cider in October!

Now on to the wedding.  Hmm..what can I say, I love all the details that Nick and Andrea had their wedding.  From Andrea's killer Stella McCartney hot pink shoes, hot pink JCrew bridesmaid dresses, gorgeous bouquets and flowers and instead of the traditional cake, she got the most incredible tasting cupcakes.  They were done by Mimi of Splendid Cupcake.  I tell you, if you want cupcakes, hire Mimi . .I got to try one of her Lemoncello cupcakes at the end of the night and they were out of this world!

As you can see Bryan was drawn to Andrea's cool tattoo and shoes and isn't the one on the motorcycle just awesome? However, I love every photo in front of the Vintage Orange car. It is Nick's boss's car and it made for some of my favorite photos.  Bryan always gets amazing shots that look like art once he's worked them.  We just shipped a print out from a previous wedding that was 40 inches across.

We thought it would be fun to do a slideshow to their first dance song - Better Together by Jack Johnson.  Enjoy!

Rene & Jordan's Engagement Session & Family Session

Well we are very excited to share Rene & Jordan's fun engagement shoot with you.  We first met them at Garin & Stacia's wedding and if you don't know who they are, well they are the couple on our front page as you enter our site.  Bryan will be photographing their wedding in Cabo San Lucas in August . .how fun will that be?  Onto the photos, I am not sure I can pick a favorite as I love so many of them.  I absolutely adore the photo of their shoes with the pig and all of the photos in front of the copper wall.  I think the Yellow "pop art" photo is a fun different one and I think my favorite is the one of them kissing where you can see their reflection . .it's just gorgeous.  As you can tell, they had 3 outfit changes and I always think that's a fun idea.  They also wanted to shoot at Pike Place Market early in the morning when less people were there . .the only thing to remember now that we know is that delivery trucks are there early in the morning even if people aren't.

The second set of photos is from a family shoot we did with Rene's family on Fort Lewis.  It was a new  experience for Bryan as he has not photographed on Fort Lewis before nor does he typically do family shoots.  We were happy we were able to do as we were heading out of town that day for a little get away with Zoe to the Beach in Oregon (those photos later) and that was the only time their whole family would be together.  Anyhow, I never knew that Ft. Lewis was so scenic and I love them all especially the one with the girls and the flower in the foreground.  Enjoy!

Tina & David's Engagement Session

As I said in my last post it's wedding season . .well it's also the time of year we shoot a lot of engagements for all those summer weddings.   Tina & David are getting married in August and wanted to start their engagement shoot at the UW.  Isn't the first photo below just gorgeous with the columns?  I also love that the pictures of them in the library.  They then moved onto some other fun locations and I love the photo of them in front of the movie sign Priceless - how cool is that? They made some friends along the way . .ha and that is one of the photos below.  Also I thought it was fun that they went by the store she bought her dress.

Onto one of the last locations they found - Bryan just fell in love with some abandoned furniture and Tina and David were game to sit on it and pose for photos.  I think those photos are just simply awesome!  One of the photos Bryan wanted to process similar to the credits in the movie Juno . . in case you are wondering why it's odd. . ha.
